Skip hire pricing is related to the size/volume of a skip, and the expected content of waste types from its proposed usage. The only other cost to consider is a permit if the skip needs to be placed on a public road. This is issued by the local council and in most cases we can apply for the skip permit on your behalf – though some councils prefer you to make arrangements directly. HOW DO I PAY FOR SKIP HIRE?

Payment for skip hire is paid in advance by credit or debit card. We will also accept cash on delivery and can arrange direct bank transfers if required.

HOW LONG CAN I HIRE A SKIP FOR?

We offer flexible skip hire to meet your usage needs. Hire periods generally range between 7 to 10 days, however you are welcome to keep a skip for longer durations on arrangement. Please note that although skip hire cost is based on the volume of waste recovered, rather than the length of time you have the skip, we adhere to reasonable time periods to keep skips in circulation for re-hire.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE CONTENTS OF A SKIP?

We endeavour to recycle as many waste materials as possible – which is currently around 95%. As a licensed waste recycling and transfer centre we sort the waste into their constituent elements – which are predominantly soil, hardcore materials, metal, plastic, glass and wood. We are then able to supply many of these materials to others for reuse – meaning little or no waste for landfill.

HOW CAN I STOP OTHERS USING MY SKIP?

Unfortunately there is always a risk of others trying to use your skip for their own waste – particularly in built up areas – which is effectively fly tipping and can be reported to local authorities.
